F with latest firmware, again. Are you using this with the STe where it would be the second drive or the original ST where it would be the first drive. This forum is in no way affiliated with Atari Interactive. That st354 require an extension cable.
It's all wired up and powered up but I get not drive activity when booting. SF and kB? Seems that people replaced the drive when they had this happen Or it isn't that straightforward perhaps?
As I don't have the knowledge or skills to test all the chips and switches on the board, I guess this drive will stay unusable for me. Is the drive definitely original and not some double sided replacement, the button hole is not a classic Atari rhomboid shape?

Since you are all saying I can only read sinlge sided kb discs, how should sf35 drive react to a double sided kb disc? No registered users sv354 4 guests. If it works but doesn't work in the original enclosure then you have at least narrowed it down to the interface board at the rear of the floppy case or the power supply which is probably going the way of all old power supplies in the capacitor department.

That has no internal drive, so I connected a Slim HXC to an external drive board and it works for one drive but not two.
We are Atari Legend. Power without the Price. I can put a disk back into the drive However, when I hook up xf354 ST and the SF I hear the drive making the buzzing sound, but no s3f54 on the drive.
I mean, I think the drive doesn't work, but I don't know how to start to look for the problem. If the motor has ssf354 I'm sure it could be for a number of reasons. Right side view of the ST. If it starts rotating intermittently and then stops when the ST gets to the desktop it is probably working fine and you drive heads either need a clean or are out of alignment.
